A seminar on ‘Project Planning, Analysis and Management’ was organized by Dhaka School of Economics on May 27. Dr. Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, chairman, GC, presided over the program while Vorvate Chonlasin, senior program specialist and head, Public Sector Capacity Building (PSCB) of AIT Extension, was chief facilitator.
Sufian Etea, program officer, PSCB, AIT Extension, was assisted Vorvate Chonlasin. As a part of CSR, they tried to develop faculties of DScE and students of Post graduate Enterprise Development students.
Vorvate stressed that the process of project selection criteria should be based on honesty, integrity, ethics, and morality. For appraisal of a project, its economic, financial, technical, market and social aspect need to be analyzed. He argued that project manager should observe their duty efficiently, effectively and with enthusiasm and zeal.
Dr. Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, who is also chairman of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), described rural development funding procedure, skill development and management support agencies with special reference to ENRICH project of PKSF in Bangladesh, which includes detail procedure of implementation, education, health, rehabilitation, and training programmes.
The seminar was coordinated by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali.
