Mr. Shamim Ahmad joined at Dhaka School of Economics (Constituent Institution of the University of Dhaka) as a Lecturer on 9th May 2022 in Entrepreneurship Economics Programme.
Mr. Shamim got Govt. Scholarship based on SSC results. He also stood First in the SSC examination (Board Talent). He passed the HSC examination from Notre Dame College with excellence. Mr. Shamim completed his BSS (Hons) in Economics from Notre Dame University Bangladesh. He completed his Master of Economics (Entrepreneurship Economics) from Dhaka School of Economics.
Prior to joining DScE, he started his career with Independent Television, a leading 24/7 news channel of Bangladesh, as a Broadcast Journalist in Business Programmes. While working with Independent Television, Mr. Ahmad prepared reports on business and the economy, mainly focused on the Macro Economy, International trade, Banking, Money market & Central Bank, Capital market, Industries, Agriculture & commodities markets, Companies, Technology & Service sectors and so on. He worked as the observer of the business trends of the economy, government fiscal management, performance of key indicators, local & international market behaviors, Impact analysis of economic events and policies.
Mr. Shamim is a prolific writer. His passion is to do study and research in the field of entrepreneurship. While studying economics, he arranged seminars, sessions and symposiums on various events of national and global economy. Mr. Shamim has been enthusiastic to cultural activities since his college life. With a vision to serve humanity, he is working with different organizations of the country.
He has published research papers in international peer reviewed journals and worked as an assistant editor.
